Football Academy
What we do
Running since 2011, RPT Football Academy (RPT FC) provides children aged 3–15 with structured football sessions twice a week helping them build confidence, skill and teamwork at an elite performance level. With over 150 local children, all sessions are led by experienced FA-qualified coaches.
Players also have the opportunity to compete every weekend in the Regents Park Youth League and London Youth League, as well as take part in summer tournaments. While we are a community team, RPT FC has supported local players into teams such as Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur FC, Arsenal FC, Queens Park Rangers FC, and Luton Town FC.
Running at various times throughout the week, at either RPT Community Centre or Avondale Park, you can find an up-to-date schedule of Football Academy here.
Our approach
RPT FC follows the FA’s redeveloped coaching system for young players. Using the four-corner model, our sessions focus on ball mastery, 1v1 games and small sided matches. We prioritise individual development over results, encouraging players to try different positions on the pitch.
We aim to:
- To make your child the best possible footballer that they can be.
- To build confidence, resilience, hard work ethic, competitiveness and team spirit.
- Encourage your child to lead a healthy lifestyle now and in the future.
- Support your child to build strong friendships and be proud to represent RPT FC and its community.
Who we support
We support children aged 3–15 years old who have an interest in playing football at a professional level, who live in the local community.
How to join
Due to its success, RPT Football Academy is in high demand, so we recommend enrolling your child at the earliest point of entry, which is our Nursery – Reception level. When we have space to do so, we try to give trials to new players if the trialist is already playing or has played competitive league football.
To join RPT Football Academy, young people must be a member of RPT Youth Club. Free to join, register your interest by getting in touch using the contact details below.
Cost
While our generous donors heavily subsidise our programme, we ask a parental contribution of £9.00 per child per session.
