Amplify Studios

Amplify Studios is a new creative arts programme from the Rugby Portobello Trust. Our goal is to provide alternative education, creative enterprise and job procurement. We are encouraging young people to explore and grow their creative outlets in a safe and inclusive environment.

We want Amplify Studios to be a powerful tool for change: a safe haven that removes barriers to entry and allows young people to develop their strengths and nurture their passions. Music, visual arts, technology and practical business skills are at the heart of this venture and we are working with young people to introduce and nurture these passions. We are building a crossover of professional and amateur experiences to provide enhanced job skills and future opportunities in the creative industries.

Through Amplify we have been running a series of workshops, masterclasses and hands on experiences as well as offering young people training opportunities. We are aiming to build on these past successes this year and help more young people to find their path. Thanks to the generous support of the Mayor's Young Londoners Fund, we will be launching a new Friday late night session in February 2020. Young people attending these sessions will receive one-to-one mentoring as well as access to training and the chance to learn new skills. Young people will be dropped off home at the end of the evening, ensuring that they stay safe.
