Fundraising events
The Rugby Portobello Trust is more than 80% donor-funded through our events and our generous local supporter base.
Our fundraising events are supported by more than 50 volunteer committee members and more than 50 event-day volunteers. In 2024 our events raised more than £550,000, giving us essential unrestricted income to run our North Kensington programmes.
In 2025 we welcome back our long-term Corporate Sponsors Strutt & Parker and thank them for their continued and generous support.
The Brain Game
Our annual Brain Game takes place each spring, welcoming 22 teams to an incredibly challenging quiz and dinner. Each year this event raises around £30,000, giving vital support to our community-funded programmes.
We’re thrilled to announce that this year’s Brain Game will take place on Wednesday 7th May 2025.
Early bird tickets (£720) will be available to everyone on 28th February. From 10th March, standard ticket pricing (£840) will apply, so be sure to secure your spot early! The Portobello Dinner
Our Portobello Dinner, a live auction and sit-down dinner, started in 2008 as a fundraiser amongst neighbours and friends. It is now central to the generation of funds for the RPT's activities. The RPT Notting Hill Christmas Market
Taking place on the 18th and 19th of November, 2026, the RPT Christmas Market has been running for more than 30 years and is a highlight of the Notting Hill social calendar.18th November.............. 5:00pm to 8:30pm19th November.............. 11am to 6pmOur Christmas Market Committee personally selects more than 50 independent stallholders who sell bespoke and luxury goods, and our Committee and volunteers hand-make beautiful Christmas wreaths and home-baked goods for our famous home produce stall.
