Amplify Studios at RPT

We’ve been expanding our work with creative arts, giving young people the opportunity to gain skills and experiences in different art disciples through our new Amplify creative arts programme. Sessions have included music, lyric and script writing, performance, photography, film production, fashion design, dance, graphic design and digital media.

In conjunction with Finding Rhythms a non-profit organisation that delivers music production workshops, we ran a three-week summer programme for participants who have an interest in or aptitude for music and song writing. The young people who took part learned technical skills behind making music and song writing and received an entry-level BTEC qualification. The group varied in age and its youngest member was just 10 years old. This programme was repeated over October half-term to benefit a new group of young people, with both groups completing an album of original music. With the support of Arts Alliance, we’ve undertaken a dramatic refurbishment of our music studio and the creation of a second music studio and wellness suite.
