Our 2020 Annual Report is here!
Read about all the highlights and challenges of an unprecedented year at Rugby Portobello Trust, in our 2020 Annual Report.
Like many charities and community-based organisations, RPT had no option but to close its building in March 2020. Throughout the year, we continuously adapted and changed our offer to the North Kensington community to respond to changing restrictions and needs arising from the pandemic.
While some activities were restricted or stopped completely such as sport, residentials and
drop-in clubs, others were created and expanded; online tutoring, food deliveries, laptop distribution, one-to-one support and partnerships.
Despite the challenges, our incredible team of staff and volunteers ensured that children were able to access our Homework Club online, young people had access to youth services and creative arts, music and writing opportunities through our Amplify programme, and our Magic Mums parenting group carried on supporting mums online, and in person when socially-distanced sessions resumed in the summer.
And whilst our fundraising events were moved online last year, we adapted again, hosting several online Quiz Nights, The Portobello Dinner at Home and an online Christmas Market, thanks to the continued support of local supporters, small business sponsors and family trusts and foundations
who funded our work.
